Equality for All Project
WHG’s Equality for All project seeks to strengthen our broader Region-wide initiative for the primary prevention of violence against women and their children – Communities of Respect and Equality (CoRE), whilst raising awareness of diversity and empowering local women to champion and lead change within their communities.
We encourage women from a wide range of backgrounds to apply, especially: Aboriginal women, older women, women with a disability and women from migrant and refugee background.
The project includes support and free training to learn about a range of topics that empower women including:
- gender equality and equity
- prevention of violence against women
- barriers to equality
and build skills in:
- public speaking and training
Following training Equality Advocates will be supported in paid speaking opportunities on a casual basis when opportunities arise with CoRE members and will join in developing a women’s day celebration and equality for all training video.
